We picked up lunch at a small snack cafe in the zoo: small pizza and a chili cheese hot dog... the food was actually very good... we were surprised to see how good the chili was... the women at the cafe were very interested in my strange Japanese accent and asked "where from?" - when I told them Texas - they seemed very excited and had to tell everyone else where we were from... interesting...
we shared our lunch at the pond with a very cute little bird that came right up to us...
after lunch we took the monorail back to the other side of the zoo to exit and head towards the museum area of Ueno...
